The Tale of the Magic Lamp
In this musical comedy, Aladdin is back as the "street rat" of Agrabah who winds up
the unlikely owner of his very own Genie who grants him 3 wishes! When he meets
the rebellious young Princess Jasmine, daughter of the Sultan, he falls in love with her.
But Princess Jasmine is being courted by Jafar, an evil wizard with impure intentions.
He is searching for the lamp that holds the Genie who is now Aladdin's ally, hoping
to usurp both the Sultan's throne and the Genie's power.

Real Life Disney Princesses
It’s the childhood dream of many girls to become a Disney princess…
and now photographer Ryan Astamendi is giving a few grown women the chance.
His series of surprisingly accurate photographs puts models into pitch perfect
costume, makeup and hair to create what looks like the movie screen come to life.
As you will see in the photographs below, the models vary in their real-life likeness
to the characters, proving that Astamendi is skillful at creating the look he desires.

I was honored to be a part of this with my fellow character artists and designers.
For those of you not familiar with the book, every artist was allowed to do their
own version or "interpretation" of Disney princess in any medium.
